Ok so now I am growing in mylot with friends and posting and whatnot, but what I have began to notice that there are a lot of people that just start discussion upon discussion. Now there is a question in here somewhere but there is also a little rant too. I really want a quality discussion, is that really to much to ask for? If someone has the ability to start 20 new discussions today about whether the chicken crossed from East to West or West to East to cross the street don't they have the ability to come up with a discussion that requires some thought to the answer? I am talking about these sort of discussion put out by the same person, what color is you cat? 20 seconds later, what is your cat's name, 45 seconds later, Is your cat long hair? Get my point? So, I have to ask would you rather have a discussion that requires some thought or would you rather just be able to put nothing into the discussion?
I responded to a discussion that someone started today and gave a pretty in dept response and the person was like cool. Like they really didn't even want to talk about it. Why oh why would you start a discussion that you really have no interest in?

Hie ZephyrSun, I am sorry to hear that you had a bad encounter.
I have thought of that too but after awhile I realized that it's a huge community of some many types of people in here from the young teenagers to the very old experience ones.
The young ones or the new comers might not be able to come up with quality, interesting topics and they tend to post topics or responses that sounded silly but for them it is still fun and they are contributing. Guessed that;s what they have understood by Mylot stating that "anything could be discussed here".
They would lose out on the earnings no doubt but they are still a part of the community to make up the crowd. What I observed and could say for them is I believe it takes time and they will learn and will get use to Mylot and the community.
As for those who intentionally do that then Mylot should come up with better guidelines to rule out unnecessary topics. They might be for the sake of earning more or they are simply " clueless "
I am still new in here and still learning. And I always try my best to share what I know with the others and I expect no less too in receiving them. But it has not been easy as I have expected to come up with an interesting topic that would get more/good responses. I have a few that are still lying around with no response while the easy silly questions from others get more responses than mine....lol.
Perhaps they are two types of category of people in here - the thinkers and the non thinkers who mainly are here for the earnings :)
Cheers,

You are welcome :) And I am still doing my observations though...lol Guess we tend to fall in the class of thinkers, can't help it and creating a balance in here.
Happy posting!
