I'm an artist of it. It's silhouette cutting with a scissor or knife. I use a scissor. Check out my website: www.mgcreativearts.com You can see a short video of me doing it, it's fun to watch. It's a lost art.

Thanks for your interest. It is an old art of portraits. It's a shadow. At one time they were painted , and then they cut them out with scissors.
