Puppies!!

My Pom, Lady finally had her puppies. She had four, but sadly the first one was born dead. It was so sad and heartbreaking. I felt so bad for her too because she still wanted to take care of it. I had a hard time getting the little one away from her, but knew it had to be done. The other two came about an hour later and are both alive and doing great! They are both black and one is a boy and the other is a girl. The little girl was born first. She mated with our Rat Terrier, Scrappy, so we have Pomarats. Yes, they are really called that, a friend of mine sent me a link about them. I can't find the link anymore and I've since gotten rid of her email that had it in it. I will include a picture of the puppies from her last litter. This is going to be the last litter I let her have though as this makes her fourth litter and I don't want her to have any more.

That sounds like alot of fun. Babies are so adorable and entertaining. They can be alot of work but oh so worth it. So what are you gonna do with the puppies when they are older?

Because I already have a lot of animals, we are going to find them new homes. I would love to keep them, but we have a small home and a lot of animals.

Awww they are so adorable. I'm sorry to hear you lost one. I have never heard of pomarats before but they are so cute. There is nothing like having puppies in the house. I bet they will keep you busy...lol.
We got Sassy our pommie puppy at the beginning of the year. My daughter's father has three pommies and one had a litter of 9 (1 was stillborn also) so he let choose one. She brought home the cutest little thing. I was never big on pommies, but she is just the sweetest dog. Her temperament is just beautiful, although her name suits her...lol.

Lady's first litter was only one puppy and my mom and dad ended up with her. We named her Sassy because we thought it fit her. It's funny that their names are the same.
