How long before brake fluid is no good?

I bought some brake fluid for a vehicle about 3 years ago and used about half the bottle. I now have a vehicle that needs the other half of the bottle. Would it be safe to use it or do I have to buy new stuff?

I have no clue, I didn't know you had a certain time to use brake fluid, but I know nothing about that.

That's pretty much where I was too. I think we may have lucked out and gotten an actual mechanic to help us out. *keeps fingers crossed* We'll see though.

It's bad, once it's been opened you can't keep it, don't use it, you put that in, you can rust your lines from the inside out.

it depends on how much u use ur car, u should check it at least once a week
