Well after thinning things out in my front and back flower beds I am starting to like the new look out front. This used to have 6 HUGE Hoastas in the bed. Now there is just one large one left that will soon be removed and transplanted as well. As you can see the fresh dirt in the photo, this is where the Asiatic Lilies have been transplanted. This bed gets sunshine about 8 hours a day and the Lilies there thrive greatly so this is why I plan on turning this into one large Lily bed very soon. As you can see, the Lilies seem bent. That;s due to the old area they were/are in that gets maybe 3 hours of sun a day. They bend way forward for the rays of the sun. Now in this are they will have sun all day long. Have you done any trnasplanting of flowers at all in your garden etc? Do you plan on it at all? Do you transplant in the spring or fall? And why that time if at all?

I have planted 5 Pear trees just recently and started them in pots and have been moving them around to find the best spots...I usually do more transplanting when its cooler cause its so hot out and would hate to lose anything.

Well it only costs you one pear..so go to the store..buy a pear and eat it..and take the seeds and presto in about a month you will have a bunch of trees to transplant..i got about 7 trees and they are about 15 inches tall..I gave one each to my kids and kept one here at home..another went to a huge planter in front of my store...they smell so good and grow fast..Happy eating..LOL

Looking good!
I still have that one lily in the back and it is HUGE! I'll bet it is almost 4 ft tall, and still no flower. I was beginning to think that it was an oddball, but I see yours here are very tall too. I think mine may be an asiatic after all, as it looks very much like yours.
Heading to take a closer look at your pic.

Some of mine are about 3 feet tal and maybe 4. But they are thinnned out big time along the front of my house. They tended to lean about 2 feet out for the sunshine. So I'm looking for a new spot for them. I will plant my astillibes in their place hopefully.

GB My Lilies are in full bloom. I have an area that has Lilies only. I have red and yellow ones. Seems like every year I get more and more. The bad news is once they bloom thats the end of them. And with all the wind we get here in kansas the blooms dont last to long.

I have transplanted some of my life forevers. Those things never die. You can just drop them wherever you like and they will root themselves and grow. I pinch me off some and put them around my floer boxes. I mainly transplant all year long. these things will not die for anything. I pitched some over our fence last year because I had no place to put them at the time. they came up this year in a huge bulk. I went a dug them up because they had already rooted and I transplanted them by my garage.

My wife threw a fit as I gave him a pot that was holding a couple ferns etc. He is the type that NEVER returns things that's why she was upset. I doubt we will get it back. But I told her it cost us a few dollars was all don't worry.

Actually no, but we are in the middle of having our garden done. I have already said to myself that when it is done then I will have some flowers in it. I love flowers.
I am thinking actually that with you being a bit of a keen gardener if you can help me, when I moved into this house 3 years ago I noticed in the garden that I had bluebells growing in it. I have actually put a picture of them on a discussion of yours before now.
Well they are growing wild, they just pop up each year and I let them grow, I seem to be getting more and they are so beautiful. With my garden being done they are going to have to go, now I have warned my hubby that I do not want them destroying, I want to keep them. But my question is can they be moved and planted somewhere else?
