yesterday i am watching 'So you think you can DANCE" on Fox
i noticed 9 out of 10 girls weared very short clothes like bikini at the time of dancing.
does short clothes are really required for dance or it just for exposing body to get public votes.
what you think about that

as a dancer, i don't really do that. during rehearsals though, i find myself pulling up my jazz pants or my shirt and tying it at the back, exposing my tummy, but all because it gets really hot and you sweat like crazy.
sometimes costumes are designed to show off what you. and most of the time, if you're a dancer, you got a good bod. and also, its usually easier to move about when there's nothing flowing away from your body, your movements are seen and therefore better for judging.
