Cheap reliable broadband

I am currently on dialup internet & am trying to find a cheap reliable provider of either wireless or satellite broadband that is available in rural Australia...the government is still subsidising satellites in our area but my husband isn't keen on satellite so I am looking more towards wireless. Dodo has cheap wireless and say it works in my area but I am not so sure as they say they work through the Optus 3G network & Optus phones don't work out here, but Telstra Next G does. Does anyone have any ideas?
