Has anyone ever tried this with coffee grounds? Does it work?

Sprinkle old coffee grounds around places you don't want ants, or
on the ant piles themselves. The little buggers will move on or
stay away. Used grounds are also said to repel snails and slugs.
I am always looking for ways to reuse something. So I read about this, today and I thought I would try it. Luckily we don't get hit with ants too often but when we do. So I thought I would start putting this around the perimeter of our house, to see what happens.
Have you tried this and did it work for you?

This is a good idea. My husband has another house and he has ant problems in there. I will have him sprinkle some around and see if it makes a difference with his ant issues. I know ant traps work sometimes. i dont think they are the best however.

I have never heard or tried to do this with coffee grounds before. I will have to try that some time and see if that works. We gets ants outside alot of times during the summer months. I always want to get rid of them also. I know coffee grounds are good for composting also. It must not be bad for us to put on our ground. Thanks for this idea.

I'd never heard of that before. We have an ant hill in one of our flower beds we've been trying to get rid of. Ant powder my dad tried didnt work. I'll be trying that the next time I'm around to dump the coffee grounds! Thank you for the tip!
(ps the best ant control we had was when we had a pet turkey in the yard.)
