788 rats removed from one property!!!

Police informed the Sutherlin City Council this week that a pest-removal company has trapped and removed 788 rats from an infested house. An exterminator will be brought in to poison any remaining rodents.
This house has been a problem since early March and council have recieved permission from Douglas County to proceed with the extermination efforts.
A neighbour has told council that the house needs to be burned down but the Cheif has taold her the the owner of the infested property has rights too!!!!

I sure wouldnt!!! Can you imagine walking around the house, I know they would prably be in the floor boards and such but you could never leave food for on second otherwise it would be gone!!!
Can you imagine how long it will take to properly exterminate the rats!!! It must take months, to ensure that they have all gone!! I wouldnt move in there after in fear that some may return!!!!!!

That is a lot of rats! We have been having a problem with rats in the last few weeks, I think that there is a nest of them somewhere. No one seems to be able to track them down though so the pest people have been called in.
I know that rats spread disease and infection because of where they come from, but they are so cute!
