(This is modestah's daughter A.) I am here visiting with my Grandmother and noticed that her scissor holder was cracking up a bit - so mom went to the local craft store and got me a package of mixed color plastic canvas. I cut the canvas out in a cone shape and decorated the front side and sewed around the two pieces. I used a bit of yarn for a hanging strap and now Granny has a place to put all her various scissors. It looks nice and neat on the wall and they are easy to find and easy to reach for.

How crafty you are and how thoughtful too. Did you use the sewing machine or do the sewing by hand? I could use one of those cos I'm always looking for my scissors. Tny are such a useful tool and handy all over the house.

hi ms tickle I used a steel yarn needle and yarn to "sew" the pieces together and to make the design on the plastic canvas, like needlepoint embroidery.
