i know it may sound silly because love cannot be measured but i was just wondering on how polygamists/poly amorous relationships work. don't the people involved get hurt because there is unequal division of love?

yes love is cannot be measured but i think it is not possible..between the people you love..one of them is the best..the one that you really love..you know its hard to be involved to a polygamists relationship..someone will get hurt because of that..

I think if yo feel strongly for two people that it is not really love. I think it is deep caring. I think if someone truly loves someone than it should be easy to choose them over everyone else. I do believe someone can have deep feelings and deep confusion about more than one person, but in the end if it is really love, then someone will be ultimately be chosen.

I agree with you totally and anyway I mean why is it that loving just the one person not enough? Do we have to be that greedy because we certainly don't need it like in ancient times when it was used to increase the population and our survival. So why would we engage in something that was started purely for that reason? It can not be anything to do with religion either because religion teaches us to not be selfish or greedy. The conflict it would cause too, I would not like to even think about what kind of pain people go through because of these types situations or arrangements, I would like to stay away from that headache.

I think that some probably do get hurt but in many polygamist relationships this type of family unit is what they were raised in and so it's normal for them. I have heard that there can be a lot of friction between the wives that come later on because the first wife has the most power within the family unit but I don't know how true this is since I don't personally know anyone in a situation like that.

You should be able to choose one. Weigh their differences, how you feel when you're with this person, and that person, and then compare. You should have greater feelings towards one person, even if the difference is 0.001% LOL(^^,)
