How many of you out there use a pedometer to count your steps each day? I've been using one for a few years now. Last year I ended up with over 3 million steps, but I worked at McDonald's for most of the year and was walking all day long.
This year I'm at 1,043,689. Not too bad for half a year I guess. Hopefully I can get at least 2 million by the end of the year!
How many steps have you gotten in so far?

Hey sunnflr.
Yes, I've been wearing a pedometer for almost 5 years. Having a pedometer on does keep me more focused on moving more. I used to be rabid about achieving 10,000 steps per day and have actually done that for several weeks straight! But, boy, that is difficult.
Now, I'm back to between 5,000 and 10,000 steps daily with occasional days between 10,000 and 15,000. However, my pedometer does not count the steps cumulatively. It automatically goes to 0 at midnight and starts over. It does store 7 separate days of steps, calories, miles, and aerobic steps, but again, these are not cumulative.
Congrats on getting so many steps, though. That's great. Keep walking.

I don't know how many mine would count before starting over. I've done three days worth together before.
When I worked at McDonald's it was easy getting over 10,000 a day. Now I average 6-8,000 most days. When we go hiking I get in alot more which helps my average!
