revenge is a dish best served cold!
I recently researched that particular statement online and found several different answers.
What do you think it means?
Do you believe this statement to be true or false, (in your opinion)?

Interesting topic!
Maybe it's a play on words meaning like a meal served cold would be horrible so revenge is a ''dish'' served cold by revenge being done in the worst way to get the desired effect on the recipient? x

I agree with that for many reasons...
#1 they have let their guard down and it's most likely to work
#2 it gives you time to plan out all of the details
#3 It gives you time to rethink what you were planning and maybe back out before you do something stupid.

I think cold here refers to our emotions. Revenge is something we want or do when someone hurts or offend us. It is indeed not a good thing since getting even with someone doesn't always create a good ending. Cold refers to the person who wants revenge... In materializing or making one's revenge one should never give in to his/her emotions, act cold, as if she doesn't care about anything or anyone. Come to think of it, a kind, pure-hearted person cannot really try and seek for revenge. If we are cold-hearted, then we do not care about what that person we feel, we act based on our hatred, for anything that the person has done that hurt us. Revenge wouldn't be much of an impact if we don't act coldly or if we act considerately.

I dont get it honestly? I say no revenge? You end up living with your actions and can grow to regret what you did when going out of your way to hurt someone else. Im not a fan of spikeful either , I try my bet to treat people how I would like to be treated!
