I am really forgetful!

Few minutes back while I was about to save some files in my USB, I realized I did not have my USB in my bag. I was about to go crazy when I remembered that I left it plugged to the computer in the office. I printed some lecture notes yesterday and I think I got so preoccupied that I forget to eject the USB. I have been texting our secretary to ask if the USB was surrendered to her but she is not replying. I tried calling her up but it seems that her mobile phone is turned off. This is the second time that I left that USB in the same computer. I really hate it that I have to be this forgetful! I just hope that the USB was surrendered to the secretary by whoever used the computer after me.

I hope you get the USB back. Sometimes during these hectic moments we forget about the little things, We're only human. I've begun to double check things before I leave an area. I've had moments were I've left my Ipod hooked up the computer and I had forgotten about it. Of course the battery ran out. So what I'm saying is try double checking before you leave the office. Or after you upload the files immediately unplug the USB before you print.

Hi there dolce, I have that attitude sometimes, I hate it but I have no control especially if I am very busy and thinking so much stuff! If you are using a PC in your office, for sure it is safe not unless maybe if in the library, there's a little chance that it will not be returned!

I can relate to you forgetting things. I forget things all the time. I write theings down in a note book to help me remember. The thing is I have many notbooks and trying to keep up with what I wrote which ever thing in, well lets say it's frustrating sometimes. When I try to find some thing I have written down to remmber and can't find what I wrote. Or if I do find it it's never fails that it's the last notebook I look in. I think, no I know I'd forget my head if it were not attached, lol.

Try getting one with a hook thing in their so you can attach it to your car keys. This way you could not leave without it. They are easy to lose. Hope you find it and hope there was nothing confidential on it. My husband had one that required a password to access it. That is something else you may want to consider.

I have it attached to my ID. I couldn't recall why I had to detach it from my ID. I think I should consider your advice about the password thing. Thanks!

Maybe a Bungee cord or a Lanyard hooked onto it would be useful..something like one of those antistatic straps that would prevent you walking away without it.those USB keys are very handy, but they're also small, easy to lose, and easy for someone else to pick up,too..I only need mine at home,I don't need to bring work home!
