This is one of the many large ponds etc taken at Springbrook Nature Center near my house. My wife and I went for a long walk this weekend through the center. I love this shot as you can see all the rred grasses and cattails on the edges of the ponds. Ran across some deer, cranes, egrets, ducks, and various other birds in this area as well. Isn't it so serene looking?

Yes it is beautiful.
Reminds me of my younger years.
Living in Canada, it was so great.
So much freedom.
And at that time being in the nature was
my way of staying alive.
It was great!
And I still love fishing!
Oh my, I am getting hungry....
But, I don't have any fish, and I am to lazy to
go out of the house today. LOL
Thanks for sharing your picture.
Take care,
Margajoe

Was? It still is if you take advantage of it. I never have cared for eating fish for some reason even though I fished a lot in my days. I was the type that threw back all but one or two walleyes etc to eat that day. Never kept more than I could eat at that time. You're welcome also.

Hi!
Still is ? Yes and no.
Yes there are still beautiful places.
And No I cannot take advantage of it even if
I were to go back.
Have you heard of Stouffville. (don't know if I
spelt that right.)Altonna Ontario?
That was my dream life.
Last I heard they have turned it into a town.
I was living behind the town, it was country.
And that is not there anymore.
Makes me sad and happy at the same time.
People have decent homes.
But I lost the most beautiful country side I have
ever seen.
Take care Margajoe

I love nature walks and to be able to see animals. When we went to the grand canyon we saw elk I did not image how big they are. I know a lot of people hut them. I our area we have elks but they are smaller. We have a refuge for them and we have one of the largest herds in CA. It is run by the fish and game and they are all fenced in of coarse.

Elk are HUGE as are Moose. I love seeing something so huge being so graceful too. The moose isn't protected here in Minnesota but that's because there are so many I guees.

Like most of your pics, this is a good one. It does look like a beautiful area, but then, I think you live in a place full of beauty. I'm glad you and your wife go for walks, enjoy the scenery and each other.

Since I am responding through my email notification I will have to wait until I submit this response to see the picture. Nature shots are one of my favorite things to look at and to take. Those type of pictures are usually serene!

I miss being up north at the farm walking into the back 40 acres of woods and swamp and bogs seeing fox, wolves and ever so often a huge moose.

Well I have taken many pictures of beautiful sceneries. I like to visit hill stations in my country every year and I also take my Nikon High end camera with me to get some very good shots of everything. I like to take snaps of animals, lakes, peaks, mountains, hills, Kids, and everything which appear Beautiful to me.

thanks for sharing, nothing quite like some nature to cheer us folks in front of the computer up.
It reminds me of my honeymoon in new zealand where there was so much nature and open space unlike the city that i live in.
you are inspiring me to start a post about my recent visit to the coast and our walk in the park. i took some pictures and will upload them too!

Oh, that is beautiful! You're fortunate to have a nature center close to you. I love cattails, my son picked one when he was here last December. I seem to recall that picking them is prohibited but I'm not sure.
