Mould... Edible?

I watch Fear Factor from time to time during my channel surfing sessions. There will always be this section where the contestants have to eat some really foul foods. From blended bugs to rotten food to some disgusting animal parts. I always wondered, eating all those rotten food, covered in maggots, mould and other slimy what-nots! Does the contestants ever get sick from eating all those trash?
