This morning when the post arrived there was a parcel for my son so I let him open it and inside was an amazing PC CD-ROM, National curriculum key stage 1 for 3-5 years olds with 5 exciting advenures of Noddy (who he loves), wow he was just so excited especially as it had arrived for him in the post and not me, but when I looked at the paperwork I had not ordered and there wasn't a clue where it had come from. I have since discovered by phoning the company that the person who placed and paid for the order is no other than Darkwing from myLot, naughty girl. She came to stay with me recently and my son fell in love with her and her him. What a lovely suprise for us both this morning and just wanted to thank her. What a lovely gesture. I will ofcourse be thanking personally too.
Have you received any unexpected surprises lately?
Has someone touched you by doing something unexpected, Please share.

Ellie, you are a very giving, special person, who wouldn't let me show my appreciation in other ways. You were so welcoming of me, as a fairly new friend. You trusted me enough to invite me into your home, and also did all you could to help me in my plight, albeit unsuccessful, but I felt as though I'd known you forever and was made to feel extraordinarily comfortable in your home, and your company.
Whilst I was there, I gathered in some information about why Jacob liked to go visit your babysitter, and also, the educational game CD he told me he'd like, in a magazine. I thought that this small gift would be a way of repaying you your kindness and hospitality, through a very special little man whom, as you rightly said, I grew to love, whilst there.
You're a remarkable lady, my dear friend, and it is you should receive the praise, not I. In ancient times, this would have been the done thing... a small gift in exchange for a kindness or a service, so, as usual, I felt it appropriate.
I'm so glad your little man enjoyed receiving this, and I'll tell you now, why I chose Noddy.... would you believe, that when I used to go up and clean the school, I would sit and play the games on the kids' computers up there?
Noddy, together with Pingu, were my favourites.
Brightest Blessings on you and yours, my dear friend, and once again, many thanks, for being you! xxx

Hi Darkwing, I love Pingu too mmeeeemmmee, LOL. I have never before invited someone to stay whom I have never met but I went with my instincts on this one and as usual they were correct. I am pleased that you felt so welcomed and comfortable in my home as I don't class myself as much of a hostess. I thank you so much for your kind words. You also are a very special person and I am really grateful for this gift for Jacob. Naughty girl again for playing computer games when you should have been cleaning, what are you like eh! LOL. I own up! I'm a naughty girl, but it's the only way you would allow me to show my appreciation... not knowing!
I'm so glad he liked it, and would have loved to have seen the smile on his face, but I guessed something in the post with his name on it would be an extra special way of giving back to him some of the fun we shared whilst I was at yours!
Thank you Ellie, and Brightest Blessings. xxx

Hi Lingli... here I is!!!
I'm fine, but pretty busy, so haven't been in here too often recently. I came back from Gabs' last week, to a herbal exam, and an order for a "Tardis" birthday cake, which has to be completed today, and my darts registrations and fixtures to sort out, ready for the forthcoming season. But I'll be around a bit more after those things are done.
Brightest Blesssings... have a great day! x

oh yes, people have done that for me, once I got 40.00 from someone and all it said was guess who, and I never did find out who sent it.

Wow! what a great surprise you people had! It really feels very good. You son is a sweet heart and I am glad that Darkwing did that for him.
As for me, my life this week has been a horizontal 'I' - nothing exciting, nothing fresh, the same drudgery.
Huggles to your son.

I was surprised last Friday ellie. While getting dressed for work, I put my hands in my pockets to fix them and pulled out a $20 bill. Now I know that isn't a lot of money, but it is when you thought you had none. I love surprises like that. Then on Saturday, my next door neighbor (actually across the street) surprised me by giving me a couple of dollars. That was totally unexpected. He really likes me and has been getting me little treats here and there.
I keep him and others in my prayers for the little things they do, for instance, an ex-coworker, who recently joined my church, brought over some chocolate cake for me on Saturday too. Once again, a nice surprise!
