Scientists are attaching ultra-tiny microchips to the backs of honey bees to get to the bottom of why the essential insects are dying off. The chips are so light, the bees don't know they are there.

Getting to the bottom of the bee die off is essential as one bite of food out of three comes to us courtesy of a bee. Almonds, oranges, pears, apples, and strawberries are just some of the treats bees provide.
*
Commercial agriculture has been hit hard by a mysterious disease called Colony Collapse Disorder where the bee keeper finds an empty hive full of honey, an ill queen, and a handful of stumbling young workers. Hopefully, a spy in the colony will stop it.

I think that the importance of the bee has been underestimated they play a vital role in our agricultural system. Without bees and pollination everything is going to cost more if we just have alimited supply of bees around. We need to be thankful for the beees we have.

We do need to understand this CCD. It threatens the bees with extinction. And millions of Humans and animals with starvation.
