One of my items were selected for a treasury on Friday and that treasury was selected by Etsy admin, for the front page on Etsy Saturday morning! I think I've been on the front page before, but have never actually witnessed it (this time a member did a screen capture and saved it into her Flickr acct) The front page must have come about during a very busy time on Etsy traffic wise. My item received over 100 views and the item received 4 hearts, my shop received another 8 or 10 hearts. Pretty cool and hopefully the bracelet or a few of the other items that were also hearted that day find their way into a new home in the next few days!

Thank you! It was crazy to see the number of views I picked up on my item, after a quick appearance on the front page (I think the treasury spent 30-45 minutes with prime exposure) No sales as of yet, but I did receive a private email from a customer that may buy a couple of items. Thanks for your response!!

Thank you! It hasn't led to any sales, as of yet, but I have watched the number of hits on several items climb higher over the last 3 days, so hopefully (she says with fingers crossed ) Thanks for your response!

Congratulations! That's quite an honor. Do you do well on Etsy? I had a few items listed on Etsy for over a year, had alot of views but sold nothing. I finally closed the account. It was partly my fault for not promoting Etsy and my shop. I just sat back and did nothing with it. My items sell better at craft fairs when I get the chance to go. They are reasonably priced and people who wander around craft fairs are always looking for a good bargain that is very different. My items are made with plastic canvas. Good luck to you, carolbee

Thank you! It was quite a bit of fun and I was excited by hearing that one of my items had front page exposure. I do okay on Etsy. I haven't had all that much time (or energy) to promote the way I should and I really believe promoting needs to be done almost every day, along with listing new items items every few days. Etsy is all about keeping your shop's name and items visable on the site. I joined the EtsyNJ street team. There's well over 100 of us on the team and when we get a treasury, we almost always do a team treasury. It has really help to keep my items active, even when I'm a bit lethargic about promoting...lol Etsy's been a bit slow since February for me, perhaps the economy has much to do with it (along with my sporadic promoting) But I'm slowly grinding my way to my 100th sale on the site. I also do okay at the craft fairs and find that my Etsy listings will often sell very well at the shows, where people can actually hold and feel the piece, as opposed to just seeing the image. But Etsy is a lot of fun, the members of the street team are very cool and extremely supportive of the entire group. I know when summer begins to come to an end, I'll be back on Etsy, in full force, as I get ready for all the fall and winter craft fairs. Thank you so much for your response!!

Thank you for the compliment. I really like that bracelet too. I don't have much in my shop either and really need to build it up. Sold some jewelry yesterday to some friends but not on Etsy. I mostly do Jewelry but do have some items like rosaries and cell phone charms and book markers that are made with beads that I need to get posted on Etsy. You are very creative with the photography. I am getting better at it though. Lately I haven't had the motivation to make any new things so I know what you mean especially in the summer, but last weekend I visited a bead shop when we were out of town and bought a few new things and have some new ideas and some motivation. I am glad you got some sales and hoping you get lots more after being featured.

Thank you for the compliment. I think I have seen your shop too, the name sounds very familiar. My shop is pretty wiped-out right now. I haven't had the motivation to sit and create anything this summer. One night, I made a few bracelets and thought I had the creating-bug again, but the next night, I just couldn't motivate myself. Now that my inventory on Etsy is at an all-time low, I'm going to need to force myself to sit at the craft table (I usually like to have bewtween 35-40 items in my shop and I think I'm down to 20 or 21 pieces) The good thing about the front page... the piece that was featured sold last night (going to Australia) and I've sold a few bracelets already this month. All of that traffic put my shop in front of many buyers in a short period of time and I've made 4 sales since appearing in that front page treasury (with only minimal promoting on my part) I'm going to check out your shop and send some hearts your way...thanks for your response!

Thank you! It is a very cool site. It's helped me to think twice about buying all mass-produced items as gifts and surprisingly, I've found that people appreciate receiving a gift that someone made with their hands (not mention that the items are almost always better made than the mass produced "stuff") Thanks for your response!!

Thank you! I was very excited to see that I had an item on the front page. Actually, the person who did the capture was also in the treasury. The treasury was for members of the EtsyNJ street team and I was very happy to be a part of it. Only 12 spots available and the street team is close 150 members strong. Earlier this morning I looked through the treasuries and found I had another sea glass bracelet in a treasury (yup, another treasury by the EtsyNJ team...) I think I need to get back to my crafting table over the weekend and give the team a couple of fresh items to choose from. Thanks so much for your response!
