Memory Card Brands

So I'm going on vacation in a couple weeks, and I want to get a new memory card for my camera before I go. There are three different cards that I'm looking at that are all the same price. One is a Kingston brand 2 gig card, one is a Transcend brand 2 gig card and the other is an A-Data 4 gig card. Do any of you guys own any memory cards that are made by any of those brands? Would you recommend them? Do you think I should go with the 4 gig card since it's twice the space for the same price? Or do you think it's a "get what you pay for" kinda deal and a card that cheap is poor quality and really not worth it?

I haven't heard of A-Data. I would look up some reviews on it if you can. I have kingston, kingmax and sandisk. All of which work great and i haven't had a problem with. my kingmax is a 2gig and it works really great. If you look on newegg.com you can find memory cards cheap and I have heard of Transcend, they seem to be a good brand but i haven't used them personally. I think newegg.com even has a transcend 4gig for like $14 if you wanted to go with a brand that was a little more well known then A-data and they have kingston for $18 (4gig)

Awesome! Thank you so much! I've browsed newegg.com before, but haven't recently! I'll go check it out now!

I have a lot of Kingston cards. The 4GB card will probably work just fine though, I'd probably go for that one. Make sure to test it before your vacation though, just incase. I haven't tried the other brands that I know of.

I'm wondering why the 4 gig card is so cheap... I don't mind if it's a bit slow, because I have smaller cards that are really fast that I can use for times that I need a really fast card. But what I really want is a card with a lot of space. I just worry that a card that cheap might have a lot of problems as far as recording and storing images... I am reluctant to buy it until I've heard from someone who has one that says it's worth getting.

I have used Kingston SD and CF cards with good results. I have not heard of any of the other brands. Good luck.
