hi i know i am really slow to discover this. but seriously everyone should check it out. here where i am, there are two auction sites that i check out everyday. it's the yahoo auctions and ebay. it offers so many bargains that i can't believe it the first time i checked it out. i'll start by posting a picture of my most recent 'conquest'. it's a philips juicer which i got at half the retail price. it's as good as new and i'm enjoying it. cheers:D

Ha ha ha ha ha... that is good that you are able to get a bargain. I have been cheated once of a few thousand dollars. And I could not recover my money. I am so pissed at the whole episode! I still cannot get over it! I do go to ebay to take a look. But rarely put any money down to buy anything anymore. I may try again. But, once bitten twice shy. Still super cautious about using ebay. Cautious to the point of not buying anything there. Till I can find something I really want, I do not think I will be getting anything from there anytime soon.

well i'm a very cautious person by nature. so far i've only bought locally. postal services can't really be trusted. regardless of the country, there are bound to be missing mail. another thing, i usually go for cash on delivery. i've ever only done bank transfer on two occasions. both times the amount involved is less than $10. that's how paranoid i am. :p

I guess you are not alone. Like I said, after my little fiasco online, I am more cautious about buying on line.

well, one can never be too cautious right? guess the best we can do is exercise prudence. hopefully i'll be able to find more bargains. and yes, i'll try my darnest best to safeguard my money. i will be very pissed with myself if that were to happen to me. ;]

I just started to but not on ebay but on a site called bidz. I liked it. I got two watches and 12 straps for them for $7.00, today, but there had to be a catch. There was a shipping and handling fee of $12.99. I mean I knew there would be one, but I didn't know that it would be that much. I was in a bit of a shock. So the total is now $20 and some change, which I think is still a pretty good deal for two watches and interchangeable straps.

yes it pays to read every single detail. i've seen quite a bit of stuff i like. but the shipping charges are like a few times the price of the item. after factoring in the additional charges, sometimes it's not worth getting them after all. thank goodness i live in a very small country. most of the time i'll pick up the item or meet the seller somewhere to transact. this removes the need for escrow services too. happy bidding :D
