knowing the disease process and its mode of transmission would eliminate the scary part of it but this condition ain't a joke at all.. using proper and appropriate protective equipment is very necessary when dealing with this kind of patient. the only scary part of it is if the disease is caused by a bacteria since it would stay on non-living things and still very contagious for about 5 days to a week..

hi baileycows yes I worked as a nurses aid a numberof years'
ago and had to special this sick child who had spinal meningitis.
She was very ill but she did recover, and I had to wear a mask and outside gown. I was not scared as I was used to very ill
people.
