The Adsense 'Referrals programme' is being retired

Did anyone else get an email about this today? The Adsense REFERRALS programme will be retired from last week of August when their codes will stop working and you need to remove the code from your website or blog and replace it with 'Adsense For Content' which RELAX...will still be working. I have not been using the referral programme for long so makes no difference to me but wonder if it does for some? Also looks like you can now have more than three units of Adsense For Content ads so that's the good news; not sure though if one pays more than the other:)
