secret is not a secret

I feel that there are two kinds of secrets. One a secret that is your secret and yours alone Two a secret shared among a agreed upon group of people (a family secret, a secret among friends, etc).

Hi msedge, I consider that secret is something that I can’t share it with others even my loved one or best friend. Should it be leaked out then is no longer a secret anymore. I understand in many cases that if someone promises you to keep the secret after telling him about it. Very often many couldn’t be trusted and the secret would spread more rapidly among friends eventually. I feel it would be better if you could express your feeling by writing it in your diary to release your uneasy feeling due to keeping a secret.

for me, i have a secret that only me knows... and share some other secrets to my friends... that it depends on you.. because a secret is a confidential thing between the two person... and i think if it is more than three, then its not a secret anymore... but, if it is as a group our in a group i think it is still a secret...

I am a very private person and if I told a person a "secret" about me, I would expect it to go no further. I understand what you mean about needing to express to someone your secret, but I rarely do, because I don't know anyone who wouldn't tell someone else, who would feel like they just had to tell someone else. . .and on and on and it certainly wouldn't be a secret any longer.

I tend to agree with your friend... Secret is a secret until you tell somebody... Then it's not a secret anymore... That's why I don't have any secrets... Somebody in my life knows something about me, mostly my girl friend... She know pretty much everything about me... Granted there are little things I forget to tell her now & then but that's little different... When I do remember it, I tell her as soon as I remember it...
