Hi everyone! I am one of the many people cursed with dark elbows and knees! And I really hate it. i feel SO selfconcious whenever I wear shot sleeved shirts!
I'm wondering what I can do, what products I can use that will lighten this skin! I'm looking for any natural remedies, or any products designed for this problem! What has worked for you?
Thanks!

From what I've read lemon juice, sugar and olive oil work very well. Leave it on the knees and elbows for 10 minutes and then scrub off with a loofah or warm cloth. I, personally, have not had this problem but know others who have and the above process worked.
Good luck and hope this helps,
carolbee

I've actually heard about using lemons on my face, but I never tried it on my elbows and knees! I'll see how it works! :) Thanks! :D

Dark elbows and knees?? Never heard of them, never noticed anyone with this condition.
Have you ever noticed anyone with condition??
I don't think you have a problem...no-one would take any notice and even if they did I can't see them caring. Don't worry about it mate.

Simple thing to fix lily.
Cut a lemon. Keep it by your bed or make-up table or wherever you will remember to use it daily. Rub the lemon on your knees and elbows. Within a few days the dark spots will be gone.
Starlettes in Hollywood use to do this a part of their beauty regimen. It really works and is easy to do.

Wash with hot water and a gentle soap like dove (unless allergic or you can't for some reason), rinse with cold water. So first you clean out your pores, then you close them. Pat dry, take a piece of cotton and put hydrogen peroxide on it, dab on, count to 30, rinse off with cold again and pat dry again. Now 30 is an estimate, I would start with 10. The hydrogen peroxide that is only 3% in most US stores, don't get industrial, hair grade, or animal grade (that can be as high as 100% because they put one drop in gallons of water to decrease fat production in animals or increase lung capacity in racers). The cheap stuff in brown bottles for less than a buck (may have gone up because of gas, used to always be less than a buck). I would only do for once a day because it does tend to make your skin a little thinner.
Alernative, tan other parts and cover the darker parts, eventually, they should match. Can be sunless tanning products.

you can try applying calamansi extract to your dark areas if you want it to be natural.. or you can use amira magic cream. my best friend who is a beauty queen do that to help whiten her dark spots. i hope this helps.
