I bought some nine grain bread out at Walmart that is sooo good! But when you want to toast it you have to put it through the toaster at least two times if not more! I have also had Rye bread that does this....have you boughten any bread that doesn't want to toast?

Fresh brad is harder to toast than day old bread. my granddaughter like her toast run through the toaster just ling enough to get a little crispness to the bread. God forbid it get any color. so I have to reset the toaster almost every time I want a nicely toasted bread. I like my toast to look like it is toasted. You might try checking the setting.

wow that sounds like great bread! I love grains on bread and seeds on bread. like pine seeds, sunflower seeds. my favourite type of bagel also are the seedy kind har har.
i have not had trouble toasting brown multi-grained sliced gardenia bread though. i just pop it into the toaster oven and it comes out nicely browned.
not sure why your grainy bread doesn't toast. try leaving it inside for longer if you have a timer system?

It see ms like most of the bread that I buy does not want to toast. I always have to toast the bread least twice. I really need to check the settings on my toaster. It's getting
old.

Hey jillhill, I never had that problem but I had previously encountered some types of bread that is thick and get toasted outside but not inside. I think it has something to do with the thickness and texture of the bread more than anything.

That's interesting and no, I don't believe I've had that happen. I wonder why it won't toast?
I'm sure it has something to do with the grain in it, but I don't know why that would be.
Water content? I don't know!
