Update: Recovery from Appendectomy!

Hey all! A while back I posted a discussion about a recent appendectomy and was asked to post an update. So, here it is. I had my follow up appointment yesterday and they said I was healing nicely. I have pretty much no pain now, unless I push on the incision area or something. I was able to remove two of the three steri strips, the things they put over the incisions while they healed, leaving the belly button one alone until it gets more loose. The doctor told me that I can swim and bathe normally now which makes me ecstatically happy! The only catch is that both yesterday and today have been overcast and not the best weather for swimming. If it isn't nicer by the end of the week though, I'm going to go anyway! I am really glad I am feeling back to my normal self, for the most part anyway! :D Hehe no more having to rely on my fiance to help me out of bed, bend over to pick up something I dropped, crawl under the desk to switch between the headset and speakers when we want to watch something, or any of that stuff. Oh and no more walking slower than normal. I even ran a little the other day! Woohoo! Haha may sound a little goofy but that was my first...and hopefully my last...surgery and I am so happy to be recovered from it so forgive me for being a little goofy lol. Woohoo!
