I've been waring my new contact lenses for about 2 weeks now as i'm on a free 3 week trial of them with Specsavers. After a bit of a shaky start (i found it really hard to get the lenses out at first and that panicked me into thinking i'd never get used to them or that they were more hassle than they are worth) i'm absolutely loving them now. It's not just a vanity thing, although that is the main reason i decided to try them. I find they offer so much more freedom than glasses, i don't get any rubing on my nose or ears, i'm not having to push them up my nose all the time or search for a cloth to wipe the lenses with. It's also nice not to have to wear them when going out at night. I've learnt to put them in and take them out easily and i can wear them all day without any discomfort. My eyes feel better with the lenses in if anything! So now of course i am wondering when i left it till i was 25 and getting married to try them, why didn't i try them as a teen? What do you keep thinking you wish you'd tried sooner?

Not that I've tried them as of yet, but I really do want to try contact lenses myself. I'm just not brave enough to give it a go yet. I have this thing about anything being near my eyes. But these glasses are driving me up a wall. I have the feeling that if I do try contacts, I will be saying the same thing you did....why didn't I? LOL

i never really interested in wearing contact lenses as i am scared of the idea of something put inside my eyes... i still prefer to wear glasses no matter how uncomfortable it is... i am not a patient person and i also don't like to spend time cleaning the lenses... so i think glasses suits more for me and it is much safer as well for my eyes... take care and have a nice day...

I would also love to get contacts. I have a hard time putting makeup on since I can't see and it is impossible to do it with glasses on. I don't wear makeup often but that's beside the point. My daughter has contacts also, she lucked out, at least for now, because her vision is the same in both eyes and makes it much easier and cheaper to get contacts. I am over due getting an eye exam and I might check into getting them when I do go.
