I haven't tried steamed cake yet. But they say it is also tastes good. Most Chinese cakes are steamed. Have you tried one? Which is better? Steamed or baked?

I haven't even heard of steaming a cake. That's awesome, lol. And I would imagine the streaming time is longer than the baking time. I bet it tastes twice as fresh, for some reason. I definitely have to look up more information about this technique. I wouldn't even know about how to do this, lol.

I tried once, by making a Sponge cake. You don't have to bake the cake, just steam it and cold it afterwards. But for me, I think baked cake is better than steamed cake.

hi shadjee1, my friend, i have always eaten baked cakes and myself have also always baked cakes. i donno anything about steaming a cake or anything like that. i love eating cakes and i am a bit lazy in baking them at home so when i feel like eating i feelthat its better to go and buy and eat. HAPPY CAKE EATING. WITH A TOUCH OF ICE CREAM IN THE END. :-)

steaming a cake is not the best way.The best and traditional way is baking.Only few types of cakes are steamed.NOt very efficient.
