When I was a teenager, I found myself quite lonely at times. Of course, there was no internet back then, but there were places where you could find penpals from other countries. I wrote to two such services and developed relationships with several penpals from other countries. I even kept up one friendship with a girl from England well into our twenties. I found this to be one of the most rewarding experiences. I was able to meet people from other countries through their letters and I made some friends that way. Have you ever had a penpal and do you think this is still valid since the beginning of the internet. Do you think it could be safe in this day and age?
