Anyone like cryptograms? They are one of my favorite pastimes and at my age (65)they are also good for my brain. What is your opinion?

Yup I just got into it recently and it's quite challenging yet fulfilling.

Thanks for your response magojordan. Fulfilling is the right word. And you also usually get a good quote to remember with which to impress your friends.

Yes I have to agree that I get good quotes and I actually use them whenever I perform magic.

Hi, magojordan. Do you specialize in a certain type of magic or do you do anything that seems interesting? Do you perform professionally?

I do enjoy cryptograms, Singout, though I admit that I rarely do them and am really not that good at them, but they are fun to try.

Thanks for your response scarlet_woman. It just takes practice and determination. You know when you are really getting good at them when you would rather use a pen instead of a pencil.

I used to love to do cryptograms when I was younger but I haven't done any in quite a while. I do agree though that they are good for your brain. I think that most puzzles have a positive effect on the brain.

Thanks for your response jer31558. When I'm not involved in acting where I have to memorize many lines, I do cryptograms. You'd be surprised how it sharpens your mind.
