This sure must be sounding like a wierd question, just wanted to know what you think about it. one of my friend mentioned that she dosn't make her child sleep with her cause she thinks that the child will come inbetween her and her husband. I found it quite strange when i thought of it. Its altogether a diffrent story if you want to give your child his/her own space from the begining. My son sleeps with us, he is a year old now but when he grows a bit older i would think of giving him a seperate room but not now! I fail to understand how this would affect your relationship with your husband if you know who to cater to and when!!
What are your thoughts on this.

The answer is yes and no. Till a certain age child does come in between us and after that I strongly believe that promoting child's interests becomes prime and he must be taught to live on his own by slowly habituating him/het to sleep in a separate room to start with .

After the child gets older, we wouldnt require to give him or her a separate room, they themselves would ask for one! My friends child is around a year and a half and that is why it was hard for me to digest. Cause i too have a son who is a year old now and i make him sleep with us as he gets up at night and searches for me. And i kind of like it to be there for him when he wants me.

I think few couples fill this way. they think the child comes in between their relationship. but in true sense the child make the relationship . but different people have different view. the child needs both parents. the relationship can be reviewed in other ways too.

Yes i do agree with you that children make a relationship stronger BUT for that again there needs to be mutual understanding between partners to make life smoother. If one does not understand the need of the other then things take wrong turn and get messy. Children alway cannot expres it but they too love to be as close to their parents as the parents love to be around their children.
