Best Response...what is it?

Ok, I'm new here and I don't know what it means to get a "best response." I answered someone's discussion then I got an email saying "Congratulations, you just got a best response." Then when I looked there was a symbol by my name. What does that mean? Did I win a prize??? LOL...j/k...but I do wonder what it means. I've looked at the faq's and didn't find an answer, unless I overlooked it which is possible..so I was hoping some of you veterans could help me out? Thanks... :)

It means that a member on myLot chose your answer as best response. They liked something that you have said. The only way to find out why they chose your answer over everyone else's would be to ask them. Congratulations on getting your answer selected as best response! And welcome to my Lot as well!

For every discussion you start, you can chose the best response. If you responded to someone's post, and they awarded you with a best response, that means that they think your post was the best out of all of the replies they got. Getting a lot of best responses can increase your discussion rankings, and I believe you earn more for your post if you receive a best response!
