How do you deal with reckless drivers ?

There are so many instances when we across reckless drivers who not only put us and others but also themselves in harms way. I had a couple of close shaves with these irresponsible people on my way to work this morning. At first I thought of chasing and catching up with them to give them a piece of my mind. I then realised ,I would be acting as irresponsibly as them. I have half a mind to report them.
What would you do in such instances ?

only yesterday as I was crossing the road infront of my sister's house I was almost ran down by a car. The driver didnot tell me anything, I thought how could he, its his fault after all! But later on I realised that it was my fault completely! I am very serious with traffic rules but somehow I was out of my mind. I see most of the walkers do not abide by the traffic rules and so do the drivers.
I just hope you are okay. Had it been the driver's fault completely, I think couldnt have done much except for memorising the number, if that was possible at that point.

Mimpi, Glad to know that you are safe and sound. You must have been stunned for sometime. Sometimes we may be at fault ,but the important thing is that we recognise our mistakes and try to make sure we are more careful in the future.
Since I was driving pretty slowly, I was able to control my self. But this lunatic nearly drove me off the road. He also nearly did the same to a couple of other vehicles on the road. He was a young guy with some friends and my first impression was that he seemed to be getting some cheap thrills out of driving that way. I only hope he did not cause any harm to any one else.

I usually hope to the powers that be that there was an emergency that made them drive that way then cuss them because i have road rage issues. Although i have called the cops on a guy that was driving reckless before.
