Have you ever got in contact with a family you haven't seen for years?

Have you ever finally got in contact with a family member or a friend that you have not seen or heard from in tears? I was so happy for my son because we have looked for his father for years and couldn't find him.My son hd his 28th birthday a earlier this week and a few days later he found his father and called him.Has anything like this rver happened to you?

i never did have a real good relationshipw/my parents. my mother passed away in jan. i saw my dad this past thurs. for the first time in years. i'm very happy for your son & i hope he can establish a good relationship w/his dad.

Hi antiquelady!
I had not spoken with my dad and stepmom in approximately 4-5 years. I would email my dad on occassion but not very often. This was a difficult time for me because when I was growing up I was a Daddy's Girl, but my biological mother kept me away from my father for many years. So this last time that we went all these years without speaking was very difficult. Not only do I love my dad, but my stepmom I had always considered my best friend and love her as well. I would always tell people that I had always wished she was my real mom. I am now speaking again with my stepmom and I am so happy. I am hoping to see them in August when I go to visit my college for books and stuff. Even though it will only be a couple of hours I am so excited.

i am so glad for you. i hope y'all have a wonderful reunion. it's hard when you are estranged from some of your family. i know, i have been there many times. good luck!

That's so great for your son! My family is all pretty close but I have one brother and to be honest I don't even think we know currently where he lives. He use to live in Washington state but letters come back return to sender.
Hopefully your son and his father can now have a great friendship!!
