You witnessed a horrible crime and they're talking witness protection

Lets say you witnessed a horrible crime and the police are talking about putting you into witness protection. Would you go willingly, losing all contact take with friends and loved ones, or would you fight to keep your old life. Me i dont think i could give up my friends and loved ones, but i would still want to help put away the person who did the horrible crime.

i dont think i could give up every one either.. but then again im not in danger right now either.. lol

In your neighborhood i beg to differ.. you could witness a shooting at any minute.

ah im not worried about it.. im used to crime not cows lol now put me in a field of cows and i will feel that i am in danger

At the point where I am at now, it might be nice to create a new life. I think that it would depend on what the crime was and whether I really felt like I was in danger or not. If I felt that me (and thus my friends and family) were in danger by me staying, I would probably go into it willingly. (and then write a book about it, hopefully I could get some money)

I would help the police because if I didn't do everything I could to put the criminal away, I would live in fear for myself and my loved ones that the criminal would come after me, knowing I had witnessed the crime.
Once the criminal is locked up I could return to my friends and family. There may still be some danger of me being attacked by associates of the criminal, in revenge for my participation, but I would take that risk rather than spend the rest of my life in hiding.

Thats what i would want to do but don't know if could be away from my loved ones.
