I had to laugh at Willy today. He threw a temper tantrum and I could tell that it was totally a temper tantrum! I have a screened patio just for the cats, it's about 10 foot wide by 30 feet long and has plenty of things for the cats to do and look at. I also fixed the window in the bedroom that attaches to the patio so that the cats can go in and out the window. Well Willy prefers to have a "doorman" and won't use the window. He had been out most of the morning and wanted in to get some food. So, he sat at the door and made faces at me. I let him in.
He had his bite to eat, and went into the bedroom where the access window is. I heard a crash and checked it out, and an empty cardboard box had fallen. I went back to work and the next thing I know this fifteen pound ball of hair was marching around yelling in a tone that was definitely a show of temper. He then raced around the house yelling in the same tone and finally jumped up on the table where I was working and made ugly faces at me and yelled at me nose to nose. It didn't help the temper tantrum that I choose to laugh at the ugly faces and the yelling. It made him even madder. He knocked things off the table and yelled at me even harder making even more faces!!! I finally gave up and let him back out on the patio...and the next thing I knew, the little creep had come back in through the window, happy as a clam in muddy water.
I don't know what put the bee in his bonnet, but I picked him up, tossed him back on the patio and closed the window for an hour and a half. That'll show him to throw tantrums in my house!!! LOL

think he learned his lesson? or do you think HE feels YOU have learned yours? LOL!

I think I learned my lesson! LOL I now leave the door to the patio open a bit so that they can come and go as they please. Willy is so laid back that it was a total surprise that he threw such a tantrum. Plus, of the three Siamese I have, he is the one who doesn't talk a lot.
When I got the pair (Khuay is in my avatar)he was the more outgoing of the pair. I got them a year ago this month and since it was soooo hot I bought a tote bag so I could carry them into the store with me...I got them as an impulse from two little girls who were giving the kittens away outside Wal Mart here in California. I think my BF thought I was nuts...Anyhow it was 110 degrees so you know it was hotter in the car, so while I was in Wal Mart I bought the tote so I could smuggle the pair into the grocery store while we finished shopping. (It was an instant love affair with the pair so I didn't want to trust ANYONE with them!) Anyhow Willy was the one who stood on his brother and had to hang outside the bag and watch the store go by as we did our food shopping. Khuay (which is Thai for bashful) stayed at the very bottom of the bag and was patient about his brother standing on him. Khuay is such an elegant built cat, he is the typical Siamese in body type. Willy is a chunky guy with bags under his eyes. He can come up and look at you sooo seriously that you feel like it's a CEO of a major corporation who is about to give you the ax. I absolutely adore the pair, but Willy is the one who is loved just a hair more. He reminds me of a Siamese I had during my divorce. He follows me everywhere and will lay beside me when I work making teddy bears. He doesn't say much, which is another reason that I got such a kick out of the temper tantrum.
I am sure that my non pet owning friends think that I'm crazy when I talk about the funny things they do. I just end up feeling sorry for them for missing out on so much fun. Like yesterday when Willy was trying to get up on their perch in my bedroom. I have a crate for my mini Dachshunds and had set my decorative bed pillows on it along with a laundry basket with some stuff I hadn't folded yet...well Willy jumped up on the edge of the crate (It's one for the extra large breeds of dogs...my animals always live in luxury! LOL)and he kind of lost some footing...it ended up that he pulled the laundry basket over on top of him, both he and the laundry basket hurtled to the floor with a bunch of fake fur pillows in hot pursuit. I laughed like an idiot as I dug the poor cat out of the pile up. He was annoyed at the whole situation...and left in a huff. His face showed the anger and embarrassment (I swear he can screw up his face like a prune.)and after he shot me an "it's your fault" look, he stomped out of the room.
I always wonder how people can stand to miss so much enjoyment and fun...
