Catching Someone's Attention When You're Trying To Avoid It....

Has anyone ever done anything like this? When you're trying to hide something that you're physically embarressed about and you're so self concious about it that you mention it to people, just so they know that you're aware that it's there or that it's an issue. Meanwhile, they probably never would have noticed it if you hadn't of said anything.:-P I have a habit of doing this! If I have a zit or a run in my stockings, I will mention it to someone and say something like "Don't mind the run in my stocking, I hadn't noticed it til it was too late to change it" or "Sorry about the zit, I know it's probably gross.";-P These are just examples but in any case, have any of you ever did something like this? Do you bring attention to something your self concious about, even though no one would have known if you had kept quiet?;-P
