im currently eating peanuts right now. i love peanuts but i hate peanut butter. how about you? do you love peanut too?
i want to share some informations about peanut. here it is.
A peanut is a plant seed that grows in underground pods and tastes like a nut. Peanuts are eaten roasted, and made into peanut butter and cooking oil. (this is what im eating now)
The peanut is a legume plant species that is usually cultivated for its fruit. The peanut plant is unusual because it flowers above ground, then develops its pods underground. Because of this, peanuts are often called groundnuts. Other names include arachides, goobers, mani, and pinders. This strange legume yields shell-covered pods (fruits) that contain one or more seeds. These tasty seeds are also called peanuts.
The peanut is more closely related to peas than to nuts. Peanuts are a favorite food, whether eaten alone as a snack food or mixed into candy, cookies, pies, and other bakery products. Peanut butter, made by grinding the roasted seeds, accounts for about one half the peanuts grown in the United States. Worldwide however, peanuts are grown chiefly to provide peanut oil. Farmers in Africa and Asia grow about 90 percent of the world's peanuts.
here in the Philippines, we call peanuts as "mani". it tastes really good, and no doubt im hooked with it. have some peanuts too!

Great information about the peanut. You might want to site the source of the information that you got there.
As for liking peanuts and not peanut butter I am the same way... I HAVE to eat peanut butter because I am hypoglycemic (my blood sugar is low... the opposite of diabetes) and need to eat protein with my sugar to keep my levels good.
With that being said, I prefer the crunchy processed peanut butter (not the kind that seperates into solid and oil over the smooth peanut butter.
Remember not to eat too many they are high in fat! Thanks
