Do you use a different alias and avatar at different sites?

Yes I use different screen names and avatars on several different sites. I'm sure any who do happen to locate me can tell its me by my discussions and responses though. I'm pretty much the same "me" in the way I respond. But I don't care to use the same screen name or avatar. I also don't refer people I know here with my link. After a bad experience several years ago I'm just overly cautious I guess. Oh and by the way - my real name isn't Tess White either. LOL

I used to post in different forums under different usernames, and I'm still a member of some of them, but now I generally stick to two names. One is the name of my blog, which I use here at myLot, and the other is Ruth B, my writing name. I've used the same avatar at several sites but I hope soon to have some portrait photos of myself so I can use them on my profile pages. I think it's nice when people tell me they know me from another site where I have the same name.

Hi, I uses the same nickname for most sites I join. I use Greenleaf as the nickname in my blog.

I usually use the same. But sometimes I change it, but I try to keep everything the same as I can't remember all the UN/PW for everything that I have.

i usually use the same but only because my memory isn't that great so it makes it easier to remember for login purposes. Otherwise i would probably forget be be constantly doing the forgot login and password option, so it is just easier to use the same handle or login for every site

I never used alias in different sites in the internet. I really used my real name. How about guys?

I tend to use the same alias, or a variation of it, on most sites. My alias is Morgan Drake Eckstein, which happens to be my penname (freelance writer, go figure). So I am Morgan, Morgan Drake, etc. The only time I do not use that alias (penname)is when I am writing on adult sites (hey occasionally, you do what you have to amke money), and the alias I use on them is pretty constant also. I tend to think of my avatar, my alias, my user name, my penname, as a brand more or less. After all, it is not like I keep it a big secret on the internet that I am a writer. And if you are wondering, the reason I use a penname is the fact that my mother disapprovals of my speciality as a writer; there is also the fact that she says that writing is a sin. I understand her logic; it is just that I did not want to flip burgers for the rest of my life. The compromise was for me to adapt a penname.

I use different avatars but mostly it shows cute, animated animals. As for my username, I use a certain name for most sites that I've joined. My memory isn't good as it used to be so there are times that I get confused on what username that I'm using in a specific site. With regards to avatars, I will spend some time searching for unique-looking avatars. The kinds that will make a certain impression to anyone who sees it. As for the avatar that I'm using here at MyLot, some of my friends "recognize" me as the little yellow birdie. Who might be forever looking for something or forever dancing.

I don't go for the socail networking sites, unless you count myLot. I have a couple of IDs on the net, but I'm so lazy that this is the only place where I actually have an avatar loaded.

Unfortunately, I am not a member of any other site except mylot. If ever I would try other sites, I am not sure if I will use the same avatar and same alias in anywhere or would I use my real name? that I am not sure yet. I think it is better to use the same in all site we are in so that our friends would recognized us right away. I have to think about it when I would come to join other sites.

yes, definitely. actually it is advisable to use different alias and avatars so that the hackers will find it difficult to disrupt your online privacy. it also recommended in usernames and passwords where in you should use the same username and password to different accounts because internet security is very risk. But i think two or three the same username, alias or avatar is fine and safe.

I use the same name and the same picture on all sites I am registered on, except one. The only reason it is not on myspace is because I had not come up with the name yet. The reason I use the same picture and the same name, when possible, is because I need people to recognize me, get to know the name and remember my website. Just a business decision, I guess?

Redsponge is the username I use in all my online earning programs including blog and socialspark. I use the same avatar in those programs too. Do add me as friend if you find the same username and avatar in another space :)

I just use the same things for all the sites. If I change things around I might forget it.

I use the same screan name and avatar for all the moey-making sites I am on. For shopping sites where I have saed information, I just use my read name for firstname_lastname for a user ame.

generally i use the same avatar in every site which is I am using now...Its my cool avatar...

Hi, I use CharRay7 on just about every place on the internet and have for like 15 years. As far as the avatar, I either use my dogs or my picture. I'd rather use my dogs because their prettier. It is just easier to remember to use just one. At my age, you don't want to get confused and I forget alot..lol Have a nice day, Char

i almost all the time only use one user name and avatar for all that sites that im in, i only change it when the site does not allow it, for instance here in mylot i have to use a diferent user name since it didnt allow me to use the usual name that i use which is set, they said this is too short, i have another site which i have to use a different photo, the usual photo that i use is the one im using right now, because this photo size is too small for that site to be use as an avatar

I generally have the same handle at all the sites. Easier for me to remember, but pw are diff at each of them.

I use like three or four different names and different avatars because I am very random XD
