I don't have any equipment, as I'm not a huge work-out fan, but I'd like to start toning muscle. Aside from crunches, what sorts of excersizes can I do to tone my muscles?

My favorite toning method is simple and fun. Dance, girl! Dance! It's great cardio-vascular exercise, it tones you all over, and it's just plain fun! Dig out whatever music you like, or have ever liked, play it, and go wild! The stronger the beat, the better!
Love every minute of it!

LOL, I actually LOVE to dance. About 10 years ago you'd find me at the dance clubs 5 nights a week. Of course now I'm married with children, so those days are long gone. I still dance around the house on occasion, but to me it's not the same, and not as good of a work out.

Let the music decide how hard you'll work out. Be sure to change genres so none of the muscle groups will be left out. Especially if nobody is looking, or if you have a child who wants to try to keep up with you, GO WILD! It really is great for toning. There wouldn't be hundreds of exercise viedos based on dance if it didn't work!

Thanks for the "best response"! I've been taking my advice a little better than before, and dancing myself silly while doing the housework!

It depends on what areas you want to tone your muscles.
If your wanting to tone your tummy muscles then crunches, side crunches, reverse crunches are the best to do.
If you want to tone your legs and butt try doing squats and squat variations.
For your arms you shoulders, try push ups (to make them harder you can use a work ball or the counter or coffee table). You can get 5-8 pounds weights and do arm curls.
Hope this helps.
