Stay in Iraq, or Leave?

I just got an email from moveon.org, saying "Barack Obama responded to the major developments on Iraq in a major speech yesterday where he reaffirmed his commitment to ending the war. He also pointed out that "George Bush and John McCain don't have a strategy for success in Iraq—they have a strategy for staying in Iraq." He's right. It doesn't matter what the truth is when it comes to the reality of the war, John McCain and George Bush have the same answer: Stay. But recent events around the war have been game-changing: The Iraqi government and the Iraqi people are demanding that our troops start coming home. Even some inside the Pentagon are arguing that we must set a timetable for withdrawal." Why are we still in Iraq if everyone wants us to leave? How can anyone vote for McCain knowing he wants us to stay in Iraq for 100 more years? http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/asection/la-fg-iraq8-2008jul08,0,3580524.story

I have the same question. How could they feel their decision is right if everybody else wants them out of Iraq. It seems US spent so much money on the war and US economy is going into recession and yet they won't pull out of Iraq. It is ridculous.

I agree. I have never supported the war in Iraq, and it looks like everyone agrees. So, why are we still there? We could use that money where it is needed over here.

I think they should be pulled out, too.
