are you aware that there is this computer term: overclock/overclocking? If, yes, then are you using it on your computer?
I have just discovered this and I am hesitant to use the feature as first of all, my notebook's new and i don't want to induce damage through my ignorance, and i am ignorant about this feature. Searching through the net produced results that made me think it would be nice to use it (but my system is really fast, so do i really need it?) but at the same afraid as there are warnings against usage by novices and non-techies like me: it might damage the system.
well, i are you using this feature? and does it make the system faster and the battery usage better, as the reviews claim? ;O) just wondering ;o)

OVERCLOCKING means running the computer at a higher clock speed than the recommended or factory set speed.
Its giving extra voltage to the cpu (cpu overclocking) . I have done it on my pc. and have overclocked the graphics card also.
When we overclock more heat will be produced and we need a fan with higher speed to cool the components. i increased my fans speed. but now i stopped overclocking since it reduces the life in long run.
NEVER OVERCLOCK a NOTEBOOK. the notebooks have small space to run and the fan will not be enough to cool the excess heat and you components may get FRIED !
