Haven't Done This in a LONG Time!

Today as I was driving to meet my carpool for our ride into work, I realized that I did not finish my makeup routine. I applied mascara and that was it. No face makeup, no lipstick, and no eyeshadow. I tried for the life of me to remember what distracted me but couldn't think of anything. I just didn't finish the routine. I fed the pets and left. So now I'm at work and went through my stash. I have blusher and lipstick so I guess I won't scare too many people off. I just thought it was funny that I missed part of my normal routine this morning. My question to you is, have you ever ran out of your house and forgot makeup or most of it like I did? I must be getting old--imagine that!! LOL!

Morning Kareng...Not much of a makeup person..only do mascara and lipgloss so i'm sure i never have..but yesterday i was distracted since my truck wouldn't start and left for work leaving my front door wide open when my daughter came for me..later when i went back to get it after my friend checked it out, i realised the door was open

We come and go through the back door, and for some reason or another, I do leave the door open once or twice about every three months. I think I do it for the cats. Or because they distract me.

Lol, I only started wearing makeup when I turned about 38 and I still don't wear it that much at all. I wear it mostly at work and there's been times where I didn't have time to put it on, so I just used eye brow pencil, some blush, and some lipstick and no one seemed to notice. Unless someone wears a lot of makeup all of the time, I rarely notice if they have their makeup on or not.

I don't wear a lot either. I had blusher in my desk drawer and tried that out, got some lipgloss and I was good to go. Have a wonderful day :)

I get up at 3AM and go to work in a room with very dim light, I don't even bother to fool with makeup anymore. LOL truth is I keep a hair brush at work since I forget to brush my hair before I head out the door in the mornings. Generally on the rare occasions I fuss with makeup I have to go buy new stuff because with 5 daughters someone always steals it between make up jobs.

I'd be forgetting things at 3 am too if that was the time I got up to go to work! I'm NOT a morning person at all! I know what you mean with the makeup. I have 3 girls. We all wore the same size shoe too, so I always had to hunt shows down.

I use to put make up on everyday before I left the house too, especially if I was going to work. Now I don't have time to do that, lol, my face is bare most days as I am busy with bubs and my other 2 kids. Only put make up on a couple of times during week now, it does feel strange not having make up on, I must admit. I am ordering some bronzing pearls though, I think that will be easier to quickly brush on and I will look like I have a tan, lol.

LOL, it happens to me a lot. I'm just so preoccupied with all the tasks I have to complete in the day that I forget about those less important. Including the makeup. But then again, I forget about a lotof stuff all the time. Thankfully I always have a lipgloss in my purse so at least I can appear as if I have a very natural makeup on heh

Its called being human and in a hurry. I rarely use make up so I don't have that problem. I have made some opppsss in my day. I have these identical shoes except the color. I have black ones and dark blue ones. Yep thats what I did, I put on a black shoe and a blue shoe. It was much later in the day when I looked down and discovered oppps. Oh well, thats life. After I spotted that it stuck out to me, before that I hadn't noticed it.

Keep putting on lipstick so you can distract everyone. They will notice your lips and hopefully not the fact you forgot your makeup. As I begin to age my eyebrows are thinning. I have to give them some help with pencil even if it's a light touch up. I went to work one day and noticed I had no eyebrows. I was beside myself but didn't have a pencil with me. Nobody said anything and I work with the public so maybe it wasn't that noticeable.

I think I managed pretty good with the blusher and lipstick. At least I wasn't as pale as a ghost anymore..I looked like a ghost with rosey cheeks. lol

I have been working in positiions where I did not need makeup, or I just did not have time for it. I seldom use it anymore. I will, if I remember, for church. I guess I did not realize you had a carpool, was that since you moved? You did buy the big house and move, didn't you? Am I thinking of another myLot friend? You see, if I did wear makeup, I would probably forget it, or even worse, do one eye, and leave.

Hi there, yes another lady and I have started carpooling to save on gasoline. We haven't moved yet--haven't closed yet on the loan. First we had a problem with first appraiser. The mortgage company called for his report and he canceled--after going out and doing the survey. So we had to call another appraiser. Now there is a typo in the appraisal so waiting for the underwriter to approve that and then we are ready to schedule attorneys to close. I was hoping it would be tomorrow but I haven't heard a word all day. Geez, this is turning into a long ordeal! And LOL on your one eye makeup comment!! I can just picture that now.

I've done that quite a bit lately. I at least brush my teeth and my hair, but for some unknown reason the makeup gets forgotten. And my face is pretty darned pale, so it's no wonder people look at me funny on those days. I'm blaming it on getting old and senile. LOL!

Yes I understand how you feel. When peole used to see you with make-up and then suddenly they look at you so plain and pale, like you just got up from bed. Never mind about that. Next time bring along your makeup pouch. You can still do some touch-up in the ladies, right.

I didn't realize I had forgotten until I had left the house and it was too far to turn back. I used to keep makeup at work. I'm going to have to put an emergency stash there again. I did find some blusher in my desk so that helped.
