tomatoes are again safe to eat, the Food and Drug Administration said today, weeks after the food was blamed as the source of a salmonella outbreak in several states. Left in place is a warning about jalapeƱo and serrano peppers,I think it will always be something. How careful are you about what you eat? I tend to re-wash fruits and veggies even one at a time.

I heard the tomato was erroneously given a bad name as the culprit. Not sure. There will always be something or some scare about food to be careful about. Spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, peppers, always something.. or so it seems.

Yep it appears to be in everything at one time or another either that or E-coli So we just have to be careful fully cook our meats and wash and rewash again our fruits and veggies. Nothing more we can do except stop eating and that isn't a good option. It is however costing us more money because of these salmonella and E-coli outbreaks.

I never stopped buying them. I just bought the homegrown from Arkansas ones that were not part of the warning to begin with. You are right though. It will always be something.
