I am making a new site and it took me around 3 days to finish the template, setting, layout, color and a bit of content. Will be posting content regularly and it works great for now. How long does it take to build your own website? And do you have to keep adding things to it?

I do four pages a week, plus two html newsletters every week. It takes about 4 hours total.

I love making new websites. I have around 20 on the go now. I like to build blogs so creating a blog site only takes a few minutes. It the content over the next few months that makes the site though. I find I need to add content every few days to keep the search engine traffic coming. I like to make the blog themes my own so I learned how to go in and modify the code a bit to change a few colors and add my own graphics. So that can take me forever sometimes.

It would take me a heck of a lot longer than that, since I have no cloe what I'm doing. If I was going to have a website done, I think I would ask my husband to do it! LOL He does that for a living, and is really really good at it. I think he (vladilyich1) responded to this disussion already.

I too make websites and I love doing it. I have made a few professional websites. Well how much time it takes me depends on how much time i give it. When I make professional websites it usually takes me about a week to complete it with everything like content, layout, colors and everything but when i make it for myself I can complete it within a few days.

Hi queen i suppose it will take 1 or 2 days to complete a basic website but if you want some flash and other things to make it look better then i guess it will take 3 to 4 days.Well as you said that you will be posting daily why didn't you prefer a blog instead of website as i guess it is going to be a difficult task to post in daily in a website i guess.Cheers MOIN
