I have read that you can't *not* grow zucchini, it's such a fertile plant that once it's in the ground it's off and growing. Well, today I plucked the first beautiful zucchini off the vine, and it wasn't even noticeable a few days ago! It's like a foot long, just beautiful and fresh. And there are tons more growing where that came from.
There's also the first spaghetti squash ripening nicely in the garden.
It is so kickass when your hard work and gardening pays off like this.

my mom use to make zucchini bread and it was so good. i also liked to fry it with some paparika. that was a treat. we'd get free zucchini from friends that had gardens and had a surplus. it was a good deal.

You are soooooooLUCKY! Love, love, love Zucchini! Love it in so many ways! It has to be the most versatile plant! Love it as a veggie for meals, love it in Lemon/Zucchini cookies....used in place of apples for apple pie...Chocolate/Zucchini cake! My mouth is watering, mine are still small, (we had a horribly cold June.) You go, girl, congratulations on a wonderfully prolific garden! Think I will be right over, to buy some zucchini & wonderful spaghetti squash from you! Don't care what the price is! It's homegrown! Cheers!

Congratulations! I didn't have any zucchini growing this year. I wish I had grown some now. Well there is always next year I suppose. I did cucumbers this year and crooked neck squash. I love zuchini bread so that would have been lovely.

I am getting lots of zucchini from my garden too. I'll probably be making zucchini bread again this year. I love it breaded and fried in the deep fryer and I love to just eat it raw or cut up in a salad. I usually have plenty to give away to friends and family too. My cucumbers are coming along nicely too. Once they start it seems they don't stop either! My beans are about ready to pick and I have tons of tomatoes, just waiting for them to turn red. I love when mine pays off too.... :)
