Do you work out everyday?

I've started doing some excersizes at home (can't afford, nor do I have time for a gym). I've been doing them every other day, so that my muscles don't get too tired. I wanted to up it to everyday, but today my arms hurt a lot. I guess I will just have to do a light work out today, and not work on my arms at all. Do you work out at home, or in a gym?

I have always done exercises of some form for as long as I can remember. I do them for a while at night, I do press ups for my arms and chest and also my tummy as this helps to firm the skin on it, and I use arm weights to get rid of my chicken wings. I do leg raises and butt crunches and this tones the muscle up in my legs. I have to be careful these days of strenuous exercises as when I was pregnant the pregnancy split my stomach muscles in half and they will never knit back together. I therefore have less strength in my tummy and so have to be careful not to overdo it.

Butt crunches are an exercise for the butt, dont know about you but I have noticed my butt cheeks seem to be getting longer! Droopier, saggy etc, enough said. Anyway basically lie on your back with your legs bent up at the knee. ----^ like this Then just pull your butt up off the floor, keep your shoulders flat on the floor and DO NOT use your legs to help you, keep your knees together and pull the butt up for about ten times to start off with. Then after you have done ten, do another ten but with your legs apart still keeping the knees up. Oh my it is so hard to explain this and I cannot draw you a diagram, but if you get what I am on about these are ace for tightening the cheeks!!

I think I have an idea of what you're talking about... although I find it hard to imagine not using your legs to help you. I will give it a try and see if I feel any burn in the butt, lol.

I'm one of those lucky people who doesn't need to work out to stay slim, but I'm fairly active on a day to day basis. Just walking up to where I park the van or down to the veg field is a work out in itself, and if you do it carrying a baby or pushing a wheelbarrow (or both!) it's enough to work up a decent sweat and leave you breathless!

Again, I don't like you anymore. LOL, Still kidding. That does sound like a pretty good work out. I bet you've got some pretty strong muscles!

I have been trying to get better at it. Last year with our tax refund I bought an eliptical machine and I love it. I try to use it every other day but I am having trouble getting motivated. I also quit drinking caffiene in hopes that I will learn to love the natural energy you can get after exercise.

That is great for you. I play my Dance Dance Revolution game to lose weight as well as a few other excersizes. Motivation is troublesome for me as well sometimes. I am also giving up caffeine and soda, but for different reasons. I am just trying to be all around healthy, so that would require me giving up the sugar and caffeine and drinking more water.

Do I? NO Should I? yes Some days the most exercise I get is walking up and down the stairs. My daughter likes to go out and wander around in the yard, so sometimes I will take her for a walk outside. I don't ever do any real strenuous workouts though.

That's about how I usually am. But lately I've been doing just a few minutes of excersizes a day. I will do a few crunches and leg lifts. Now I'm doing a bit more of each, and some push ups and a few other things, then when I'm done with that I will play my Dance Dance Revolution game for about 10-20 minutes, until I'm sweating like a pig! In time I will do it even longer.

I've been doing exercises at home, as well. I hate 'performing' in public and don't really have a way to get to a gym, so exercise videos and at-home programs are excellent for me. I have three or four different DVDs, so I'm able to rotate them so I don't tire out one area and get too sore. Congrats on trying to have a healthier lifestyle!

I used to have a Tae Bo DVD, but have no idea where it is anymore. That was an awesome work out. When I first began I couldn't even make it through the whole video. I shall have to look for it and get it again.

No, unfortunately I don't work out everyday although one should get some sort of exercise in to stay healthy. I believe working out everyday also helps you to keep exercise as a habit. For the summer, I have a gym membership that I am trying to make the most of, but lately I don't feel like going all the time especially driving in itself costs so much nowadays. I think I prefer the comfort of working out in my own home, but the gym creates the atmosphere that makes me want to work out more.

I think it's best to find an excersize you actually enjoy doing, that way you don't feel like you have to push yourself to do it. Just go for walks in the park or bike rides. They are more fun, and it is still excersize.
