Went fishing yesterday....

I caught a big angel fish and a big mullet! We caught a bunch of small mango snappers but had to throw them back they were all too small. We got caught in the storm while we were out on a floating dock fishing. That dock was rockin'. I also got pinched real bad on the middle finger by a blue crab. Had a blast though! Forgot to take pics of the fish before I cleaned them. Dang it!

It would have been nice to see some pics of the fish, but it sounds as though you had a great time fishing. I think I'd forgo the nip from the blue crab, but they were all biting that day. Was it a bad storm you fished through? I think maybe that brought them closer to shore. Brightest Blessings.

The floating dock we were on is off a pier out in the water (made for boat access) so we were out in the water. We were catching before the storm rolled in. We got off the pier during the storm cause it was rockin' so bad and the winds were howling. Mango snappers were biting but we were only getting small ones.

Yes, it doesn't sound a good place to be during a storm, but exciting, nonetheless. Do you think the fish came in ahead of the storm, as seagulls do?

Those blue crabs can be hazardous to your health. I once saw a man who had just caught a blue crab from a bridge. He tried to get it out of the net by hand. When he reached for it, it reach for him and bit his pinky almost in half. Be careful!

That is great you had fun fishing like you did and caught some biggins. I wish you had taken some picturs of them befor you cleaned them that would have been cool to see but that's ok. That must of really hurt to have that blue crab grab onto your finger the way it did ouch. How do you get one of those things off you when it bites ya don't they grip and not le go isn't that in there nature? I always wondered that. Well glad to hear you had fun nd take care. :)

I just flung him off my finger. He let go and went back in the water. He would have been tasty though. Got a net last night for the next trip lol.

You can keep the fish. I'll take the blue crab! When I lived in Delaware, that was the Sunday afternoon outing to catch a couple dozen crabs and steam them.
