I have a couple of times. My ex-wife has a bad habit of taking out warrants for me every couple of years. The last time was coming back into the country from a vacation in Russia. The new passports are all linked to a giant database, so I spent 3 days as a guest of the LAPD before they decided they really didn't want me.

No Vlad, you weren't married then, but you are married now. If THAT was your reason for travelling to Russia, there's no way in h3ll you'd be married today, because I woudl't have gone through with it. I hink it's terribl that someone in this thread made that generalization. TRUE there are a lot of "mail order brides" out of Russia, but there are a lot that are not interested in that. To the rest of the world. Please don't generalize an entire population by the disagreeable acts of some.

I've been arrested 23 separate times. Not for doing anything I regret but rather for civil disobedience, like Martin Luther King. I frequently get arrested protesting the institutional bias which is a failure in Medicaid law that encourages people to go into nursing homes rather than receiving the services they need in the community like I do. Once I was arrested for protesting war at this military base in Georgia. It's called The School of the Americas and basically it's an American tax payer funded place where they teach other governments to torture dissenters. As a tax payer I object to that. As a human being I object to that. If throwing me in jail for one night will make that stop happening, they can keep throwing me in jail.

Nope, I have never been arrested. I have never even come close to being arrested. I used to work in the police department as a secretary. I watched a lot of people go through the doors to the jail downstairs. It was interesting. Sometimes, scary.

Yes, I have been arrested before. I was 18 years old at the time. I got arrested for hitting my bosses girlfriend. I go hauled away to the police station, fingerprinted, and searched. While I was standing there before they put me in a holding cell the cops were talking to each other. One of them was on the phone talking to another cop about what had happened. The guy on the phone asked me who I beat the crap out of. I simply said, "I did not beat the crap out of her. I hit her once." He was like yeah yeah, what was her name. I told him her name and he said it into the phone and then started busting up laughing. When another cop asked him what was so funny he said that the guy on the phone said, "It's about time someone beat that b!tches @ss!" I have a pleasant stay in my holding cell after that. Oh, and charges were dropped. She started it.

interesting question. i have never been arrested but i often wondered what it would be like to be arrested and spend a few days in jail. a few years ago the wild side of me actually thought of giving it a try by committing a minor offense like shoplifting or something but i chickened out :) now i no longer have the desire to find out.

I don't think i ever wanna find out what it is like to be in jail... I really don't know want to know what its like when the officer tells me that i am going to jail... Sometime i do wonder what it would be like to be put in handcuffs but not taken to jail..

Arrested... it sounds so weird. I've never been arrested because I always behave myself carefully. I don't want to get into troubles.

I've never been arrested, but I have been a little closer to the cops than I would have liked to have been, as a witness. Mind you a few time they got the picture right away, but once or twice I had to do some fancy dacing to PRIVE THAT I WAS TOTALLY 100% INNOCENT and not involved in the problem what-so-ever!!

I havent been arrested or come close. I dont even know anyone who has been arrested for small crimes let alone big ones!! I wouldnt want to be in jail, I prefer watching the shows on tv and that scares me!! I love all the crime shows though, I think this is why I have stayed away from committing a crime!!

Almost.......for jaywalking.I was in college...it's morning and i was very late for my first subject.Me and a friend were not aware that she's just somewhere behind a post. It's not actually me and my friend who crossed that street. It's just maybe was so slow in running and i was the one caught.I explained what made me do it,she lets me go and was able to attend my second subject. It was a nerve wrecking experience, that was the first, nothing follows
